ABOUT US
WHO ARE WE?
The Institute for Reformation in South Africa (IRSA) exists to rediscover, re-evaluate, and build upon our Reformation heritage as a catalyst for true Biblical Reformation in our own day and for the future. We strive not only to equip and mobilise ministers and pastors, but also leaders in congregations and concerned members for this mission.
"The greatest attack against the true church is critical theology..."
BACKGROUND
Our present age is characterised by spiritual deception, confusion, and a distortion of our Reformation history brought about by advocates of a radical shift in the view of Scripture. The eternal Word of God has been replaced by the ever-changing philosophies of man. The gospel has not only been buried, but discrimination and persecution of those who still believe, teach, and proclaim that gospel have become a reality.
On the other hand, some of our Reformed churches have not always succeeded in avoiding the sins of our nation. These include racism, inadequate care for the poor, a lack of personal holy living, colonial superiority, materialism, a consumerist mentality, and a lukewarm missionary zeal toward those who are not part of our own group.
"The eternal Word of God has been replaced with the everchanging philosophies of man."
WHAT WE DO
NEW REFORMATION PUBLISHING HOUSE
We are establishing a new publishing house that will produce books annually for the conference, with the prospect that further publications aligned with the vision and mission of the Institute will follow.
If it pleases the Lord and He provides partners for this purpose, we also intend to establish a well-equipped Reformation library.
THEOLOGICAL PREPARATION AND TRAINING
We are planning a theological training model that returns to Scripture and the Reformation, independent of the state, where training flows out from local congregations. This will consist of theological series presented and produced at churches and conferences, which over time will form an organic theological curriculum.
Men who are called to the Ministry of the Word are welcome to contact us for Theological Training.
